So....it's been 8 months.....my bad

Well, what can I say? Life with an almost 3 year old is crazy....crazy fun but certainly crazy :) I have been pretty lazy about posting anything on here so I thought I would get back on the ball! Even though none of us in the Taylor household are going "back to school", it is always a fun time of year and it feels like an appropriate time to start back up on the blog.  Obviously so much has happened in the last months but I am not even going to attempt to do any catching up.....we'll just go from here :)

Oliver, Mom, Dad and I just got back from a week long trip to Estes Park, CO and as always, it was fun to see family and to bask in the glorious, humidity-free weather. We got to spend some quality time with GG and stayed in a cute condo in downtown Estes right above a store. It was comfortable, spacious and would have been perfect expect for the noise from the street below.....That wouldn't have been a problem if we hadn't needed to keep the windows open for air circulation. Nevertheless it was a neat experience to stay right downtown. Super convenient to the fudge shop, named "Laura's" interestingly enough :).....maybe TOO convenient. :)

Here are some pictures from the trip!

On the flight out....this was Oliver's BEST flight ever! He chowed down on turkey and played with some new "Thomas" trains that Grandma bought for the trip :)

Oliver didn't sleep in the car on the way up to Estes from the airport so he and Papa had a little snooze together once we got to the condo!

We always have to have breakfast at the Egg & I at least once while out West!

A little quality time with cousin "Noodle"

All the times we have been up to Estes and we have never done a carriage ride through the town....so this time we did! It was fun and the perfect length for Oliver.

One afternoon while heading back to the condo, we ran across a herd of Elk!

Oliver's expression after spotting the Elk! :) priceless

Oliver enjoying a delicious breakfast of hard-boiled eggs and smoked salmon....pretty typical 2-year old breakfast right? :)

"I WOVE IT!"

Building train tracks out of dominos with Aunt Esther and Uncle Dennis!

Aunt Rose took us to the Alluvial Fan in RMNP and it was fantastic. In 1982 a dam break caused a flood and the result was scattered rocks and some streams/waterfalls. Perfect for climbing!

Hanging out with Uncle Kevin. Oliver was fascinated by the way that his motorized wheelchair works....but didn't want a ride...wanted to push it and control it! :)

There is a very cool toy/stuffed animal store in Estes named....Estes Ark! Ha! Uncle Kevin and Aunt Rose added "Rocky" Elk and "Uncle Smokey" Bear to Oliver's family of stuffed animals. Thank you! He loves them :)

Saying goodbye!

We had such a great time and hope to be able to go back next summer!
